Irish Dance Magazine

Recently, we were lucky enough to have our studio featured in Irish Dance Magazine! The article spotlights our studio, and discusses the unique quality of our all-adult classes, “Without the pressure of feiseanna and grades, the New York Studio is described as a “breathe of fresh air” by some of their dancers. The school’s focus is on fun and fitness and building lifelong friendships.”. The article also discusses our #HowDoYouCelebrate videos that showcased social-distanced St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, as well as raised $2,535 for Mount Sinai Hospital!

Traditional Irish Dancing: ABC World News Now

In March of 2019, The New York Studio of Irish Step Dance appeared in a segment on ABC World News Now that featured dancing, interviews, and even the dancers teaching the host how to do a jig!

The New York Studio of Irish Step Dancing was featured on a segment of Action Bronson’s show on Viceland, where they performed a hard shoe routine and received enthusiastic praise from the host himself!

Celebrating St. Patrick’s Day: Fox & Friends

In March of 2019, The New York Studio of Irish Dance appeared bright and early on Fox and Friends to celebrate St. Patrick’s day with a performance to celebrate Irish culture!

Recently we have been featured in Dance Magazine as part of their piece, “The Dance Performances that have Gone Online” that showcases those that have had to move to the digital sphere due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

“The New York Studio of Irish Step Dance had multiple shows canceled this spring. So they compiled a video of clips and photos from rehearsals and past performances.”

Irish Step Dancing Delights Seniors

“Several members of the audience were originally from Ireland and greatly appreciated the sounds and sight of their former home.

CALW members enthusiastically applauded the performance and were grateful for the experience they compared to Riverdance and the Rockettes.”

Precision Irish Dancers Step in Time for CALW Cultural Program

“Hands were clapping when the New York School of Irish Step Dance performed for the Center for Adults Living Well (CALW) on Sunday, March 10. In Riverdance-style dresses, six of the troop's dancers explored both soft- and hard-shoe dances that had them leaping and balancing on their toes. Crowd favorites included toe-tapping reels and an acapella piece that sounded like a percussive conversation between the dancers.”

EAST YONKERS KIWANIS HONOR VOLUNTEERS AGE 90-PLUS

“Those honored were surrounded by their family and friends to celebrate their lives. Biographies of their lives were read and their secrets to their long lives were shared. Dancers from the New York Studio of Irish Step Dance entertained the crowd.”

Irish Echo: 40 Under 40

Our Owner, Soraya Hanzus, was recently recognized in the Irish Echo’s “40 Under 40” celebration!

“This hugely popular event is a celebration of Irish and Irish Americans who have distinguished themselves in their respective fields of work before reaching the age of forty.

We will be honoring the up and coming personalities of Irish America from every walk of life, and from every part of the nation.”
